Now tell me, does your body make you feel unhappy? Do you wish you were the handsome dude with ripped abs and bulging biceps?  Or the beautiful woman with all the curves in just the right proportion and place? And you now need to lose weight and learn about shifting calories. Bummer.

Some people experience a loss of confidence when they start to feel flabby and soft or look fat or plump. I hate it when someone calls me “chubby”.  Those days are gone now. Do you feel a loss of respect? Or a loss of self-esteem? 

We all know that our physical condition has an effect on how we see ourselves. So how do you get past the present flabby state into the real attractive and confident person you know you are?  Well. First you need some specific information. You now the saying: Knowledge is Power. That was the motto on my high school ring and woe to those who could not defend that statement in a debate

But it is funny how we leave behind that kind of thinking once we are past those school days.  We just move forward with our lives and sometimes overlook the need for new knowledge in different situations. However, no one was teaching the specifics of how calories and nutrition worked when you were in school. Right?  So step up to the plate and learn about calorie shifting as part of your build muscle and burn fat plan.

Let me tell you, the ‘getting back in shape’ phase of your life is going to need some new knowledge if you think you can burn fat and build muscle overnight. It is not going to happen. It is also not going to happen simultaneously. That is just plain biology!

First realize that you can build muscle with an abundant intake of calories in the proper proportions accompanied by appropriate exercise. Second, recognize that burning fat requires equal attention and respect. Both processes require motivation and commitment. Both processes need careful attention to the details.

So either get connected with a personal trainer to guide you through the process or get really well educated on the processes of muscle building and fat burning.  If you try to be a ‘hero’ and go it alone, you are almost destined for disappointment and dissatisfaction. 
 
Trust me, if you move forward with leadership and knowledge and information and bring along your own motivation and commitment, your personal health and fitness goals will be met sooner than if you do this haphazardly. The improvements in your appearance and self-confidence will make that entire business of  calorie shifting feel worthwhile.
